Bible Search
Bible Search finds a verse from the words you half remember. “eagles not getting tired” finds Isaiah 40:31. “plans to prosper you and not to harm you” finds Jeremiah 29:11, where the King James says “thoughts of peace, and not of evil”.
Each word you type is widened into its other forms, the Hebrew or Greek word behind it, and its synonyms, so a modern phrasing reaches 1769 English. Verses that hold every word in your order rank higher.
The whole Bible is drawn as one map of 31,102 verse tiles that zooms down to readable text. A reader shows chapter after chapter with your search still underlined, and it can read aloud in your device’s own voice.
The search engine is Rust compiled to WebAssembly, and it runs in your browser. After the first visit the app works offline.
The text is the King James Version, 1769, with Strong’s numbers. A reader who adds their own key from api.esv.org can also read the ESV, alone or beside the King James.
